An imagining of the Hufflepuff Basement common room from the Harry Potter series. Modeled in Maya and Zbrush, textured in Photoshop and Substance Painter, rendered in Unreal 4.
From the Harry Potter book series, the Hufflepuff Basement is one of four house common rooms at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
It’s located in the castle basement, in the same hall as the kitchens. It’s almost completely submerged in the ground, with the view outside being grass, dandelions and the occasional feet walking by.
Dawned with warm, honey-colored wood, copper, and various plants about the place, the Hufflepuff common room is said to be the coziest of all the houses, mimicking a badger’s set after their house animal.
The house colors, black and yellow, are used throughout the room, reinforcing the warm feel.
Although the ground outside covers most of the windows, it always seems to magically feel sunny.
This level takes place in present times after the Second Wizarding War, during the middle of the day where students may have just left the room to attend class.
