2.5d Weirwood Tree

This is a 2.5d tree, for my week 2 assignment for CGMA's Creating Stylized Assets course taught by Ashleigh Warner. I chose to base mine off of Weirwood trees from Game of Thrones.

The trunk is inspired by Bristlecone Pine trees, which in share similar traits to Weirwood trees. Some are still around today that are over 5000+ years old, their bark is extremely sturdy, and they do not rot when they die.

This is 100% hand painted in Photoshop, and modeled, rigged & animated in Maya.
